In 2019, during our last trip to China, we visited our workshops to prepare our collections. Every time we visit, our heart sinks as we walk pass the fabrics of our previous collections, preserved like relics of our past seasons. The desire to give this sleeping raw material a second life became more and more apparent and, becoming unsustainable, we had a click. What if, in order to fight against waste and at the same time support our workshops by providing them with an additional activity during the in-between collections, we launched a new kind of collection thanks to upcycling?

An idea that we had to let mature because of the health crisis, but this year we made this project one of our priorities. That's why today we are very proud to present you our little upcycled capsule! And not just any capsule... The first one that contains a delicious sense of nostalgia but also a strong sense of environmental responsibility.

Upcycling or how creativity must come from constraint.

The quantity of fabrics available being irregular and their nature not always being the same, we had to decide on the pieces we were going to be able to create taking all the constraints into account. So for this first capsule collection, we chose simplicity by selecting the most iconic fabrics from our past collections according to their adaptability to our best-selling models.

Our "Coral Flowers" cotton fabric, a collector's item from the winter 2018 collection, offers the opportunity to pay homage to the brand's first swimming costumes which were 100% cotton.

For our Blue Pine Cone fabric, again from the winter 2018 collection, we had to take into consideration the thickness of the material and decided to turn it into a pretty half-seasonal dress with long sleeves, ideal for summer evenings!

8 exclusive pieces in Caribbean colours

7 fabrics have been chosen to create a mini collection full of travel and exoticism, because let's not forget that before the health crisis, Louise Misha's creator drew her inspiration from her excursions around the world. Varadero, Tapalpa, Merida... The name of each piece pays tribute to one of the most beautiful regions, the Caribbean. At a time when travel is forbidden and tourism suspended, this upcycled mini collection is the tropical bubble that will tickle your desire to escape.

Upcycling is the new Louise Misha

This is the first of a long series of upcycled collections that will aim to systematically give a second life to fabric scraps from our workshops and thus limit our impact on the environment. And for the most curious among you who took the time to read the article to the end, know that for the next capsule we want to challenge ourselves even more by co-creating all the pieces with you. But shhh... For the moment we can't tell you more.
